One of my favorite character types is the douche bag with a secretly soft heart. I didn’t even notice that a lot of my favorite TV show characters fell into that category for the longest time, but I definitely am consistent. They tend to start out as the cocky asshole badass who ends up being one of the sweeter ones on the show. They’re almost always emotionally tortured in some way, sacrifice for their loved ones (no matter how they feel), and have some of the best snappy one liners. I think I love them because they’re usually really honest about things (except of course, their mushy secret feelings that they keep a wall around until the right person comes along to break it down ;D) and are generally the most interesting character on the show. Doesn’t hurt that they’re often played by someone gorgeous as well ;) LOL
